Neurofeedback Therapy
Our brain wants to be calm and stable. When we give it an opportunity to train towards those two things, the central nervous system will naturally respond with greater self-regulation and flexibility. Neurofeedback therapy is a tool that helps the brain train towards functioning optimally.
We work with people of every age. We treat a broad variety of conditions: anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, seizure disorders, chronic pain, migraines, addiction, and mental and emotional instabilities. Neurofeedback positively impacts relationships with self and others, improves communication, the ability to handle stress, emotional resilience, inflammation, and chronic health issues. For those who want to enhance their mental acuity—first responders, doctors/nurses—neurofeedback is an effective tool toward peak performance.
How it works
As you watch a video or play a game, we place non-invasive sensors to your head to listen in on brainwave activity. We process this activity on a computer, which reads the ebb and flow of your brainwaves and slowly adapts the video you are watching to stimulate and “shape” a more desirable and regulated neural performance. The brain learns to recognize what self-regulation feels like, which allows the central nervous system to function better. The frequencies we target, and the specific locations where we monitor the brain, are specific to the conditions we are trying toaddress and specific to the individual.
